Thank you, all, for filling out the survey in the last newsletter! Cristin and Beth read the results eagerly (and definitely feel the love—seriously, thank you), and they’ve helped us narrow down some plans for both short-term and long-term.
Our two big, immediate results are: optional half-month Word Labs and a new retreat this year focused on revision!
We’re definitely still working on more things based on what you’ve asked for, and we see some new areas of need that will help you, so always feel free to drop us a line and let us know if there’s something else you’re looking for!
Optional Half-Month Word Lab
If you’ve been dying to try Word Lab but can only make one day a week, we’ve got a solution! You can now sign up for a half-month of Word Lab—take your pic of Sunday afternoons or Wednesday evenings and pay only half the price. To do this, simply check out on our website and use the coupon code in the details on the listing. It’s all fully automated and easy to set-up!
Revision & Refinement Retreat
How’s that for alliteration? One of the things we’ve been asked for the most is a program on revising a manuscript. This year, we’re happy to announce the newest addition to our line-up, a retreat entirely focused on revision!
We know that revising a manuscript can take far more than a weekend, so this program will start in June (yes, that June, the one that starts next week!), with three months of focused conversation and online meetings to guide your story into being the best, most marketable, fully revised manuscript it can be. The culmination of this course will be an in-person group retreat in sunny Texas in September, where you’ll get time to work with a critique partner in the program and also have a one-on-one critique session with both Beth and Cristin—plus five days of blissful writing and revising time!
You can read all about the retreat here, and we hope we can see you soon!
Currently, we’re prioritizing past attendees for this retreat not because we don’t love you, but because we plan to build upon the knowledge that we’ve established in past retreats in regards to things like plot structure, organization, and more. Please feel free to contact us if you think you may be a good fit anyway, or if you’d like to discuss doing something privately, such as an individualized coaching session or story critique.
