Cristin and Beth have been hard at work coming up with some new, exciting things for 2023 (which somehow is a real year and half the month is already gone?!).
Top among those, of course, is a return to live and in-person reteats, something we’ve immensely missed and cannot wait to get back to! Our retreats are the real deal—we’ve priced them to be among the most affordable in the business, and we bring the value by making each experience all inclusive with meals and lodging covered, plus intensive critiques from both Beth and Cristin and workshops. Your days will be fully immersed in your craft and we hope you leave as inspired and hopeful as we always do!
(Of course, you don’t have to take our word for it—we’ve got a long list of published author success stories and our retreaters often return to use for multiple retreats…in fact, we’ve got a whole community of aspiring and published writers that we cherish!)
All that said—we’d love for you to join our community! But…we have to warn you about one thing.
We’ve spent the best part of January prepping for a fantastic collaboration that we’re so excited to share with you soon…but part of the collab means that we’re going to be reaching a much bigger audience and telling all of them about our retreats and community. (Secret hint on our collab! 🤫)
In aniticipation of that, we’ve put up the information of all of our upcoming retreats:
Orlando, FL, in March: a classic writing retreat with a bonus day at Disney World
Wimberly, TX, in April: a brand new writing retreat with a focus on fast drafting! You’ll get an online workshop prior to the retreat + online pitching/critiqueing of your story idea, followed by a writing retreat where you’ll be paired with a critique partner and given tips on how to get your story done.
Asheville, NC in September: a writing retreat with a focus on workshops that pair with an included excursion to the Biltmore House, America’s castle and playground of the Vanderbilt.
Wimberly, TX in October: a workshop retreat dedicated to revising and refining your completed draft manuscript and prepping it for submission. We tested this out with alumni last year, and it sold out in a week! We’re bringing it back and are so excited to help get your stories out the door!
We currently only have openings for the first two of these workshops—we’re confirming housing and amenities for the last two. However, please know that we have limited spots left in both the original retreats…and we’re hoping that our new advertising partnership coming later this week will make us sell out.
We wanted to let you know first that this is in the works and that we anticipate selling out…so sign up! For the fall retreats, you are already in the best position to hear about its opening right now—alumni get first dibs, and then the newsletter is alerted before we open to wider audiences.
Word Lab and More
Word Lab for February is now available for sign ups! Our group is ready to get those words down! Sign up here.
Don’t forget that we have Gift Cards available! Have a birthday or anniversary coming up? Nudge your loved ones to get you a gift that can go towards retreats, critiques, Word Lab, or anything else in our roster!
Speaking of critiques, Cristin and Beth offer a full array of critiques and coaching. Beth also takes coaching clients on Patreon, where you can make monthly installments for regular feedback in chunks, or store them up and cash them all in at once when you’re done with your manuscript.
