Join us next week, Monday, September 20th, as we welcome Bridget from Storygram Tours as our seminar guest! Bridget is one of THE best instagrammers in the business, as you can see from her gorgeous feed.
Additionally, though, Bridget works directly with authors and publishers on staging book photography and expanding the read of a book’s exposure through social media. Whether you’re already published or aspiring, you’re going to want to check out Bridget’s tips on how to work with influence and publicize books on social media--this is exactly the sort of programming that is essential for the modern author!
(Remember: if you sign up now, you don’t have to watch live--you can always watch--or re-watch--at a later date!)
As we mentioned in the last newsletter, Beth’s writing a serial novel with a lot of behind-the-scenes author notes. But in fact, she’s enjoyed the process so much that she’s started writing another serial, this time going 100% behind the scene, detailing the process from first idea (she dug up the original tweets from an archeology program that inspired the plot!) all the way through to creating character and developing the plot.
If you’d like to check out this behind-the-scenes look at developing a novel (particularly in developing an interactive novel that’s going to involve voting from readers, tarot cards, and dice rolls to determine the outcome of different elements), check out Beth’s Patreon now--each Sunday she posts a new article either on the development of the novel from idea to draft, or keyed in writing advice that’s helpful to aspiring authors.
Speaking of behind the scenes…Beth wanted to give you a little heads up on a new program and book she’s working on…
Without giving too much away, if you’re planning for NaNoWriMo, you’re going to want to check out the latest thing…
We’ll be sending out an extra newsletter when this launches--especially because we’ll be offering something really fun and unique just in time for NaNo! You newsletter subscribers are going to be the first to find out all about this new adventure!
As always, thank you--thank you for reading, for joining in our programs, and for working on your writing with us. We have some big plans for the rest of this year--including some astoudning guests for the seminar and online programming--and even bigger plans for the new year, once it’s safe for us all to meet in real life again.
Stay safe, keep writing, and we hope to work with you soon!
